WYDAWNICTWO CPT. SPARKY PUBLICATIONS
In 1998 Michał Lipka founded recrd label Cpt. Sparky Publications. The name was taken from one of the Primitivo band tracks. The goal of this endeavor was to promote and relase interesting alternative Polish Music. Label focues on two genres – experimental electronica and funk, jazz and ska music. Label lasted for 3 years and in this period 12 titles were issued. Tomasz Konca helped run the label. Some amount of discs still exists and is avaiable for sale. For more details contact Cpt. Sparky.
W 1998 roku Michał Lipka założył wydawnictwo płytowe Cpt. Sparky Publications. Nazwa pochodziła od jednego z utworów zespołu Primitivo. Celem było wydawanie i promowanie ciekawej polskiej muzyki, od eksperymentalnej elektroniki po ska i funk. Label istniał niespełna 3 lata i w tym czasie wydał 12 tytułów. The music of Meoma has a strong roots in Drum and Bass, Trip Hop and ethnic music. It is not only made with electronic instruments. You can hear also live violin, marimba, sigit singing, didgeridoo and percusions on it. Its cover is made of very interesting macro photography that you will enjoy to watch.

The music of EA is a long travel to the inner zones of your mind – heavy ambient sounds are like rain clouds. Musicians are using electronic sounds and prepared sounds of double bass, guitar, and violin.

Their music is coming from deep industrial underground. You can hear the sound of early experiments of Scorn or God and Godflesh. This is the one of the most interesting propositions of Polish underground.

Once we are swimming in sticky, dark climates, which are unexceptionally finishing, other times we are running through the night forest. This band is playing elements of jazz mixed with lo-fi electronica. Very good polish jazzmen are playing leading improvisations on trumpet and sax through all the pieces. This music reminds little bit of Miles Davis’ „Doo Bop” or The Orb.

This industrial band is playing two of polish styles of avant jazz – karate pop and fuu; dong. Through furious percussion rhythms we can hear melodies based on WB cartoons or mysterious ambient sounds from another dimension. In China the band was awarded for the best sound of XIXth century.

Jest kwartetem improwizującym. To kolejny, po Paralaksie i Bassisters Orchestra, projekt Wojciecha Mazolewskiego, do współpracy z którym zaprosił wybitnych instrumentalistów zaliczanych do najnowszego pokolenia improwizatorów, występujących w różnych formacjach i orkiestrach w kraju i zagranicą.
Jest to muzyka nowoczesna, czerpiąca inspiracje z wielu kierunków muzycznych, zarówno tych tradycyjnych, jak i najnowszych: jazzu, folku, muzyki współczesnej, jungle, drum’n’bass. Słuchając jej ma się wrażenie, że wychodzi naprzeciw słuchacza, nie zwalniając go jednocześnie z wysiłku umysłu, że jest pełna ekspresji, a przy tym zawiera wysublimowane i przemyślane dźwięki. Muzykę tę można porównać do energetycznego zastrzyku, który zapowiada kolejną porcję pobudzenia intelektu i fizyczności.
